Screenshot Protection

Block screenshots of your production's content in the iPad app.

Written by Prudence

Screenshot Protection prevents team members from capturing screenshots of your production's content in the ProductionPro iPad app. When it's enabled, any attempt to take a screenshot produces a black image instead of the on-screen content, helping keep sensitive scripts, schedules, and media from leaving the app.

Screenshot Protection is a premium feature, enabled per production by the ProductionPro team. The behavior described below only applies on productions where it has been enabled — if you'd like to use it on your production, contact us.

How It Works

Once Screenshot Protection is enabled on your production, it applies automatically — there is nothing for team members to turn on or configure. Protection covers all views within that production, so screenshots are blocked wherever the production's content appears in the iPad app, including the Binder Reader.

When a team member attempts a screenshot on a protected production:

  • The captured image is black rather than showing the content on screen.

  • A toast notification appears: "This production has screenshot protection enabled."

  • The attempt is recorded in ProductionPro's internal tamper logs.

💡 Tip: Protection applies to everyone on the production, regardless of permission level. There are no per-member or per-document exceptions.
